i din realise i haven't updated in such a while.
been so damn bz with no idea what, all i seem to do is work, relax after work in front of the tv, the usual chores, try to squeeze in some time with the parental units, and den times up wtf man.
time sure whizzes by.
with nothing eventful happening.
so was hanging out with the parents today which i haven't had a chance to in a while coz they were away. n we came across this "diabetes awareness" thing near our place. for 2 bucks they check ur ht,wt,blood glucose & cholesterol & pressure levels, with free consultation/advice & i got 2 goodie bags with really cool stuff. all in all definitely more den 2 bucks. so we're all very happy.
the most impt thing is as of now i have no diabetes, no hypertension(high blood pressure) n no hyperlipedemia (high cholesterol).
i was freakin out abt getting it checked coz it costs money n i have some serious family history.
i ain't talkin 1 or 2 family members here.
family history of
hypertension
heart disease
hyperlipedemia
diabetes
severe gastritis
several bypasses
n the freakin list is damn fuckin long.
n i gotta tell u i'm one of the last persons bothered abt such things.
which is funny coz i've been in out of hospitals/specialists etc since i was a baby.
extremely weak immunity and all that jazz.
terrible appetite till i was 12.
when i was younger n i kid u not, not exaggerating n all that i'd eat one tablespoon of fried rice n i'm full. my parents used to get SO MAD at me.
now working in the healthcare industry i've become this paranoid android abt health.
interviewing all these ppl with chronic diseases is no joke i tell you.
health is wealth is very very true.
ppl with diabetes...its really hard. u gotta change ur entire lifestyle.
blood pressure n cholesterol all these chronic diseases eats into ur money.
even my stupid chronic cough is eating away, u work hard, earn dat money only to throw it away n donate to doctors? it ain't worth it.
one thing good is my parents have been very particulat abt caring for themselves yet sumtimes stuff happens u know. but at least u catch it at an early stage rather den later.
anyway i'm very happy dat i'm free from all these. juz gotta keep it up. got a healthy BMI but *gasp shock horror* i've put on ALOT of weight...ARGH...how is dat possible with 2 weeks of starving i dunno. so freakin unfair.
its true. once u hit 21...u gotta start watchin what u put in ur mouth. damn the world.
kudos to the organisers man. 2 bucks for diabetes awareness is brilliant!
