i'm losin track of time. i actualli thot it was sunday today. *rolls eyes* lookin forward to gilmore n all dat i realised dat wait a min i have nothin to look forward today. damn...since when did saturdays get so damn boring...ugh.

Why are 3/4 of Singaporeans unable to distinguish between 'slang' and 'accent'??are u guys realli dat DUMB ASS? ok its WRONG to say "gosh u have such a fake slang"its juz REALLI off. alrighty? it gets my goat. pardon moi for being a stickler.
slangrefers to colluquialisms. generally used by people in the same geographic region or by those who belong to the same ethnic group or who share sth in common so that others in general WILL not understand it. like for instance "that's phat"--> phat refers to 'cool' its slang"kiasu la u"--> again slang"piangz damn sian"--> again SLANG

accentrefers to the manner in which u speak so that people can identify which geographic region u come from
the same word for instance "country" said by a singaporean, american & someone from britain is said with a particular accent which can be identified easily. actualli u can even identify which part of britain or the US the person comes from if u are well versed in identifyin accents.
BUT no of course singaporeans gotta mix up THIS simple shit.wat reminded me of this pet peeve of mine? malaysian paper "the star". apparently malaysians can't tell the diff either so someone wrote in to gripe abt it. AMEN to u babe.we may be distanced by the causeway but sum things we share.
first time reading the m'sian paper n surprise surprise its actualli pretty good. there was this article abt "chemically castration for serial rapists". I SUPPORT this!! its actualli reversible for those who truly repent. CASTRATION FOR BASTARDS!! WOOHOO!!*holds picket n runs to the white house*
