my fren asked me why do i feel so strongly about american idol? after all its juz a tv show rite?

good qns. perhaps coz i've seen how well jennifer hudson has improved over time. how she graciously accepted criticism. changed her look from glaringly outrageous to trendy. perhaps coz i've seen n heard how latoya can sing so well at the same time maintain an extremely calm exterior despite all the media hype/criticism etc. performin time after time infront of not jus a national audience but an international one. giving amazing performance after amazing performance. i'm not much of a latoya fan myself. think she lacks in the personality department. but u cannot deny that voice of hers. she's got style too. she accepts criticism graciously.

to see them booted out like that. havin no control over it. being unable to fight back n having to accept such blatantly unfair treatment is juz unfathomable. i mean minorities go thru this shit day in n day out. we don't need it to be broadcast on international television.

why was it that jon stevens who has the personality of a cardboard n manages to make every single song sound alike managed to make it so far? i won't even begin abt jasmine trias.

so many theories are circulating abt the shockin boot-outs. perhaps its juz a media ploy to get more hype? my classmate believes all "reality tv" is rigged. which is i believe true to a certain extent.

frankly i don't know why i feel so strongly abt the contestants in american idol. my fren, ur rite. it is juz a tv show. it doesn't affect me directly at all. but somehow i've been drawn to the show n its contestants. n somehow i end up rooting for fantasia burrino or diana degarmo. both very talented ladies. with style n personality. n basically have it goin on.

guess i'm juz another sucker for reality tv.

but i can say dat i detest ryan seacrest. he may be cute. but he's friggin helluva annoying.
